N, S, & G - We did experiment #86 from
Janice vanCleave's science experiment book. We poured one cup blue water into a container and one cup rubbing alcohol into another container. We had exactly one cup of each liquid...
...but when we added the rubbing alcohol to the water, we did not have 2 cups of liquid! (Water molecules have pockets of space between them; the pockets are filled by the rubbing alcohol, so the two liquids together do not make 2 full cups. Cool!)
